Which zones can you get lasered?

Diode ICE laser quattro wave

At Gloow, we work with the Diode ICE quattro wave laser. A laser device that meets medical top-quality standards and the highest requirements (FDA, TGA, CE, TÜV, and ISO13485 approved). The laser features a cooled ice head, which cools down to -15 degrees Celsius. As a result, you won’t feel anything during the treatment. In other words, a painless hair removal treatment with a permanent result! It’s the most advanced laser in the field of hair removal throughout Europe. Our laser can be used on all skin and hair types. We don’t have to turn anyone away: everyone is welcome for laser hair removal and a relaxed and painless experience.

What is laser hair removal?

Laser hair removal is a painless method where hair is permanently removed. During laser hair removal, hair follicles are destroyed using laser pulses, preventing hair growth in that area. Every 4 to 6 weeks, you undergo a laser treatment, and by the end of all treatments, most people experience permanent hair removal. You no longer open the skin with razors, ingrown hairs are a thing of the past, and you don’t need to buy razors, wax strips, or shaving foam anymore. What a relief!

A full body treatment at Gloow is truly full body. We don't skip any spot!

Be well prepared for your treatment:

Do you want to have a zone lasered and get rid of unwanted hair for good? Book the appointment and fill out the intake form so we have the necessary information from you. An on-site intake is no longer necessary, you can be treated directly!

24 to 48 hours before the laser treatment takes place, ensure that the area to be treated is smoothly shaved. Keep in mind that we can treat a tanned skin, but make sure you do not sunbathe in the seven days before and after the treatment. Come to the laser treatment free from deodorant, body lotion, and tanning cream. We recommend taking a shower or bath just before the treatment. This will optimize the skin's preparation for the laser treatment.

Before the treatment, the specialist examines the areas to be treated. A cooling gel is applied. This gel cools the skin while also enhancing the effectiveness of the laser. The laser specialist moves over the area in a sweeping motion, delivering numerous laser shots. This simultaneously heats the skin and destroys the hair follicles and proteins. Further hair growth becomes impossible; the laser treatment ensures permanent hair removal.

The result of the laser treatment with the Diode ICE laser is almost always permanent, although it naturally varies from person to person. This depends, among other things, on your skin and hair type. On average, however, someone is *completed and permanently hair-free after 6 to 8 laser treatments. Say goodbye to razors, tweezers, and wax treatments!

*Every individual is unique, so no rights can be derived from this information.

After the laser treatment, you don't need any recovery time. You can immediately resume your daily activities. However, it's important that on the day of the treatment, you avoid using the sauna, engaging in intense exercise, and applying body lotion. Additionally, it's essential that you avoid using the tanning bed and skip sun exposure for the seven days following the laser treatment. This is because the heat that was absorbed by the skin during the laser treatment needs to gradually dissipate.

On average, you'll need 6 to 8 laser treatments for a permanently hair-free result. We recommend repeating the laser treatment every 4 to 6 weeks. Results become clearly visible after the first session. For an optimal end result, it's essential to complete the treatment course.

Yes! We use the ICE Diode Triplewave laser for this purpose. This laser targets the proteins in the hair follicle. The heat is gradually built up, reaching approximately 45 degrees Celsius. This is a safe temperature and is even experienced as pleasant. Additionally, the Diode ICE Triplewave laser is equipped with an ICE head that cools down to -15 degrees Celsius. As a result, the laser treatment is painless. It's impossible for lymph and sweat glands to be damaged.

At Gloow, we specialize in painless laser treatments. Additionally, we use the best laser devices that are FDA-approved and adhere to the latest technologies. The Diode ICE Triplewave laser also features an ICE head that cools down to -15 degrees Celsius. This, combined with a cooling gel and a relaxed treatment room, ensures that the laser treatment is not perceived as painful but is even experienced as relaxing.

Laser treatments are generally suitable for all ages. Keep in mind that in younger individuals, hair growth has just begun and the body is still producing new hairs actively. As a result, the treatment process may take a bit longer.

Even tanned skin can undergo a laser treatment. This is because the laser effectively targets the proteins in the hair follicle and not the skin's pigment. Therefore, you can be treated during any season. Please note: it's advisable to avoid extensive sun exposure or tanning bed use approximately one week before and one week after the treatment. The skin simply needs a little time to rest.

Everyone is welcome at Gloow, no one is excluded. While other clinics use different laser devices that are only suitable for specific skin and hair types, we use lasers that are suitable for all skin and hair types. So, you are always welcome at Gloow, regardless of your skin type, hair type, gender, background, age, and financial situation. Please note: very light or gray hairs conduct heat slightly less effectively to the hair follicles. This can result in slower hair reduction and potentially less noticeable results.

Laser hair removal is a permanent hair removal method. A lasered hair follicle will never produce new hairs again, so the treated hairs stay gone. However, it's important to note that the body continues to produce new hairs due to hormones. That's why we recommend coming in for a maintenance treatment annually.

Absolutely! The 5x5 full body package can be paid in two installments. This is done during the first two treatments. Individual treatments cannot be paid in installments.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer a guarantee, simply because every individual is unique. The laser works differently on each person, making it impossible for us to guarantee the number of treatments needed or the ultimate result. It's even possible that the laser has little or no effect on your hair growth. In such cases, you might be a non-responder. Unfortunately, we cannot predict these situations in advance.

There are several contraindications that we strictly adhere to and do not make exceptions for. Laser hair removal is not allowed during pregnancy, for individuals with epilepsy, cancer, undergoing chemotherapy, and those with a pacemaker.

As you have read, you are not eligible for a laser treatment during pregnancy. Laser hair removal after pregnancy is certainly possible, but from experience, we recommend avoiding it shortly after giving birth. This is because the hormonal balance is unsettled. Enjoy your time with your family and allow your body to recover first. If you're planning to start laser hair removal after pregnancy, our specialists are happy to advise you on the best approach for you regarding pregnancy and the laser treatment.

It's not possible to go over tattoos and piercings during the laser treatment. During the procedure, the specialist will cover the tattoos to ensure that we don't go over them with the laser device. Any piercings can be removed or, if not possible, taped over. If the area you want to have laser hair removal on is fully covered with tattoos, then unfortunately laser hair removal is not possible.

Laser hair removal and IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) hair removal are often confused with each other. However, they are two very different hair removal methods, both in terms of safety and effectiveness. With IPL, the light is much less intense than with a laser treatment, causing the hair follicles to only weaken, resulting in a temporary outcome. This requires more treatments compared to laser treatment. On the other hand, a laser emits a powerful, more selective energy beam that completely destroys the hair follicle. As a result, the treatment is truly permanent. IPL hair removal is also painful, whereas laser treatment is not.

After the laser treatment, your hair will regrow as usual. Around two weeks later, you'll notice that the hairs we were able to target in the right growth phase start to fall out.

Laser hair removal of the bikini line is not an issue during menstruation as long as you wear a tampon. Tampons and moist wipes are available at the clinic for you to freshen up before the treatment.

Permanent laser hair removal works very well on areas with ingrown hairs. As the hairs are gradually destroyed, skin irritations like ingrown hairs will naturally diminish.

We recommend repeating the laser treatment every 4 to 6 weeks. As the sessions progress and depending on the results, this period can be extended. Results are clearly visible from the first session. As the treatment progresses, the growth of the remaining hairs slows down, and the hairs become thinner and sparser. For an optimal end result, it's important to complete the entire treatment course.
